Normally, I would have given you guys a heads up that I was in the process of making Draico's ref, but I actually wasn't planning on working on it until a few days ago xD I blame Hero because we've been working on a species ref and that suddenly made me want to work on Draico's redesign even more.
So, here he is in all his new glory. Boy, we've come a long way from this:

I've gone back to the idea of him being a water dragon, which I originally planned for him back in 2012, but then in 2013 I dropped that idea. But one of the entries in the redesign contest that I was holding reallyyyy inspired me to go back to that, because it is a neat idea and well, I had fun giving him a design suitable for life in water c8 His wings are referenced from rays, specifically Manta Rays. He also has tiny little ears, like a sea lion, which are hard to see in the ref, but I did a quick sketch here:

Also, here's an example of how his back markings look, how his horns and crests reflect the color nearest to them, and how he looks when he is deep in the ocean and viewed from above:

It was really hard for me to get rid of the white snout, at first, but now I'm 100% okay with it because I just love the black markings on his head now <3 I'm really just super pleased with his final design.
Also, about his birthday. The reason I wrote that March 29th is his birthday for now is because I cannot remember the actual day that I created him. The first submission of him on dA is March 29th, but I remember that I still have my first drawing of him, but I can't find it anywhere, even though I know I kept it. So, I don't know if that submission is when I created him, or if it was my first drawing of him. Until I find that drawing, it's March 29th.

Umm, I think I got all his information in the ref. If you guys ever have any questions about him, just ask me in a comment c: Also, his diet is fish, medium-sized mammals (which can include small dolphins and seals), and well, any other sea creatures that aren't poisonous and aren't bigger than him. Sharks and whales are out of the question.
